In Season 2 of this remarkable series, Paul (Gabriel Byrne) has moved to his new Brooklyn apartment. But he receives a visit from the father of Alex, the patient who died during a flight exercise blaming him for his son's death.
Paul decides to discuss the case with his lawyer and is surprised to discover it is Mia (Hope Davis), a patient of his from 20 years ago who is now a high-powered malpractice attorney, but she assures him she is covering for the lawyer who will be handling his case.
During Mia's questions about his practice, Paul grows increasingly uncomfortable as he feels there are unresolved issues about how her therapy ended.
