Denzel Washington stars in this post-apocalyptic tale as Eli, a man who is on a mission as he heads west along the Highway of Death; a mission he doesn't fully understand, but knows he must complete.
Eli has with him the last copy of a book that could revive society or, in the wrong hands, the downfall of society. He must use his survival instincts as he comes into explosive conflict with a resourceful warlord (Gary Oldman) who is set on possessing the book.
The support cast includes Mila Kunis, Jennifer Beals, Ray Stevenson, Michael Gambon and Tom Waits.
