Synopsis
Based on the true story written by Harold Keith about his nephew Oklahoma basketball coach Jim Keith and his Lady Cyclones.

Jeffrey Donovan stars as Clay Driscoll, a young coach with big dreams, who is hired to coach boys' basketball. Bruce Dern stars as Ellis Brawley, the town's ultimate boss and ancestor of the town's founder and head of the school board. Clay immediately finds himself going up against Ellis and is soon told he no longer will be considered as coach.

Clay decides to stay and takes on the seemingly impossible task of coaching the hapless Lady Cyclone; a group of rag-tag girls constantly ridiculed by the boys and Clay struggles at a time when winning was thought to be un-ladylike.

Supported and inspired by his wife Jean (Samantha Mathis), Clay persists and soon the community rally behind him and the girls as they strive to achieve the unbelievable.
