Synopsis From the producers of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and the writers of Da Ali G Show comes this cautionary coming-of-age tale about two socially inept, co-dependent teenage boys who are now going to different colleges and are forced to contemplate life apart.
Michael Cera stars as Evan; sweet, smart and generally terrified and Jonah Hill stars as Seth; foul-mouthed, volatile and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. Evan and Jonah decide to reverse a lifelong losing streak with the ladies in one panic-driven calamitous night before they go their separate ways.
But just trying to buy alcohol for a school party and overcoming their separation anxiety becomes a greater challenge than getting the girls.
TRIVIA: Writers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg started this script when they were just 13 years old citing the reason as being "we just wanted to see if we could write a movie"; the expletive "f**k" is used 186 times. As the movie is only 118 minutes long, thats approx. 1.6 uses of the word per minute. Around 84 are said by Seth (Jonah Hill) alone; Seth Rogen's father Mark Rogen appears as the baseball bat wielding dad when Seth and Evan are fleeing the police through backyards.
