Brad Renfro (Sleepers) stars at Todd Bowden, one of the top students in his high school class and a typical American 16-year-old - until he discovers a deadly secret.

Ian McKellen stars as Kurt Dussander, who has been quietly living in Todd's hometown. But Todd finds out about his dark past and begins to blackmail the old man. In exchange for Todd's silence, Dussander must reveal the evil he has committed.

The two begin a game of psychological warfare that spirals out of control, producing terrifying results.

The support cast includes Bruce Davison, Elias Koteas, Joe Morton and David Schwimmer.
