AFI-winner Phillip Noyce directs this explosive thriller starring Harrison Ford as Tom Clancy's former CIA analyst, Jack Ryan, who has travelled to London with his wife (Anne Archer) and child (Thora Birch). Upon being caught in the middle of a terrorist attack on a member of the Royal Family, Ryan helps to thwart the assailants.

But Ryan's courageous act marks him and his family as a target for revenge in the sights of the terrorist (Sean Bean) whose brother Ryan killed. A stellar supporting cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, James Earl Jones, James Fox and Richard Harris.

Trivia: Alec Baldwin played Jack Ryan in The Hunt for Red October (1990), but Harrison Ford replaced him for this and future films based on Tom Clancy's novels; the CIA scenes were filmed at the actual CIA headquarters - this was the first time the CIA had ever done such a thing; the room number at the beginning of the film where Jack Ryan is staying is 713. Harrison Ford's birthday is 7/13.
