An ancient creature is awakened in a museum. Evolutionary biologist Margo Green (Penelope Ann Miller) and police lieutenant Vincent D'Agosta (Tom Sizemore) become unlikely partners when a series of gruesome murders take place in the normally tranquil atmosphere of the natural historical museum. Soon they make the horrific discovery that the assassin is not human, but a terrifying creature with origins drawn from South American mythology.
