Sylvester Stallone stars as independent trucker Lincoln Hawk who takes on the toughest challenge he'll ever face - re-establishing ties with the son he hasn't seen in ten years.

Michael (David Mendenhall) is full of confidence and outspoken, riddled with resentment and hostility as his grandfather (Robert Loggia) has painted a very damaging portrait of his father.

Father and son agree to give their relationship a chance to please Michael's mother (Susan Blakely). On a cross country journey in Hawk's truck, Michael shows grudging admiration for his father as he confides to his son his dream of capturing the arm-wrestling championship and starting his own trucking company.

But Michael's vindictive grandfather is a ruthless man, full of hatred, who threatens to separate father and son forever.
