Oscar nominee Bruce Beresford delivers lots of action and spine-tingling suspense as he directs Golden Globe nominee Ashley Judd, who shines as Libby Parsons, a woman framed and convicted of murdering her husband.

On being released on parole and suspecting her spouse may still be alive, she skips town and sets out to find her son and the truth behind the murder, which puts custodial parole officer Travis Lehman (Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones) on her trail.

Trivia: Bruce Greenwood fakes his death to frame his wife while at sea on a yacht. He does exactly the same in the film Bitter Vengeance (1994).
