TRIVIA: the real plane crashed on Friday, 13 October 1972; the real Nando Parrado (Ethan Hawke's character) was technical advisor to the film; the names of the people who died in the crash were changed for the film, except for three; shot in sequence, an unusual practice for a film of this size.
